HOTSPOTS!

Over time, certain areas of The Vicarage have stood out during investigations due to their atmosphere, reported activity, and the experiences people have had within them. These locations continue to draw attention during vigils and walkthroughs.

The Hidden Gem!
The Hidden Gem is a shop owned by Gaynor which is believed to have the spirits of 2 children Hanna and Sarah. You can find their Gravestone on the wall within The Hidden Gem.

Hallway!
We believe that this hallway is a walkway for the spirits to get from one point to another, where that is we are not sure but we have seen a lot of activity from this area. Stories of Shadow figures have been reported here.

Stairs!
Stories of shadow figures have been mentioned in this area, during investigations we captured a lot of activity in this area but no shadow figures YET!

Basement!
The Basement is the new home for The Daily Detour and is believed to have the spirit of a young Victorian boy named Jack. It is also believed to be haunted by something Darker but we are yet to find out what this is!

Kitchen Area!
It is believed that a shadow figure can be seen in the Kitchen area however we have still to see this, This area provided some amazing activity with My voice (Scott) coming through the spirit box saying “HIM”

Art Room!
Again stories of shadow figures follow this area, this area produced a lot of activity in particular while we was in the basement the rem pod went of alone not on one occasion but TWO!

Friends of The Old Vicarge

On 23rd May 2026, the team from Bad Cat Paranormal entered The Old Vicarage in Wakefield to investigate the reports of unexplained activity that have surrounded the building for years. During their investigation, the team captured multiple intriguing responses through a spirit box session, with several answers appearing highly relevant to the questions being asked. Later in the evening, the Estes Method produced a number of particularly interesting responses that left the team questioning who, or what, they may have been communicating with.

Alongside these sessions, members of the team reported feeling increasingly uneasy as they explored the building's corridors and rooms, adding to the atmosphere of an already fascinating night. With claims of shadow figures, childlike spirits, and unexplained activity continuing to surround The Old Vicarage, this investigation offers a compelling look inside one of Wakefield's most talked-about locations.

Watch the full investigation and decide for yourself what the team may have encountered.

For tonight's investigation, we join ‪@BadCatParanormal‬ and Mama Bad Cat as they return to The Old Vicarage in Wakefield, alongside the Dead Enders team, to explore one of the area's most intriguing historic locations. With parts of the building believed to date back to the mid-1300s and reports of unexplained activity continuing to surround it, the night promised plenty of opportunities to uncover what may still remain within its ancient walls.

Throughout the investigation, the teams conducted a series of Spirit Box and Estes Method sessions that produced a number of fascinating responses. One of the most talked-about moments came during a Spirit Box session, when what appeared to be a mimic seemed to come through, leaving those present questioning exactly who, or what, may have been communicating. The Estes Method also produced several strange and thought-provoking responses that kept the teams talking long after the session had ended.

The investigation also included exclusive access to two objects believed by some to have attachments. Neither item had previously undergone a formal paranormal investigation, giving the teams a unique opportunity to document and explore any potential activity connected to them for the very first time.

Did the teams capture evidence of something unexplained, or did this centuries-old building leave them with even more questions than answers?
